What is confirmed about the Volvo EX90 and ES90 launch?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The date, the two body styles, and the battery choices are confirmed by multiple outlets. The price and the exact India variant list are not. Motoroids notes that Volvo has not yet published India-specific prices or variants. The date first surfaced in late August, so the announcement itself is not new. What is new is that the cars now sit near the top of the October launch calendars, ahead of the Audi Q3<\/a><\/span><\/strong> (16 October) and behind the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class<\/a><\/span><\/strong> facelift (5 October).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Battery and range: the ES90 is the efficient one<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The ES90 sedan out-ranges the EX90 SUV by roughly 60 to 90 km on the same battery, which is what you would expect from a lower body and a claimed 0.25 drag coefficient. Reported WLTP figures are below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outlets do not agree on every number. Some listings quote 456 hp, 670 Nm and up to 625 km for the EX90, while others give 680 hp for the top twin-motor car. Volvo’s India variant list will settle this. Until then, treat the table as a global-spec guide, not an Indian spec sheet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WLTP figures also run optimistic against real Indian driving, where highway speeds, heat, and air-conditioning load cut range. Expect a real-world figure noticeably below the claim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How much will the Volvo EX90 cost in India?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Volvo has not announced a price. Rushlane’s estimate is around Rs 1.40 crore for the EX90 and Rs 1.00 crore for the ES90, while a Carlelo listing shows about Rs 1 crore for the EX90. Both are unverified, and they conflict. Nobody outside Volvo India knows the figure until launch day. Reports name the Mercedes-Benz<\/a><\/span><\/strong> EQS and Kia EV9 as EX90 rivals and the BMW<\/a><\/span><\/strong> i5 as the ES90 rival, which tells you the segment Volvo<\/a><\/span><\/strong> is aiming at.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
